How does the card work?

The Dunamente (Danubeland) Card discount card system is operated by Tata és Környéke Turisztikai Egyesület (Tata and Environs Touristic Association). When arriving in the Danubeland touristic area you can obtain the card free of charge if you spend at least two nights at any one of the places of accommodation that have joined the card system. If this precondition is not met, you can purchase the Danubeland 36h Card. At the locations that accept the card, your card will be identified by reading devices so that the discounts and free services are available for you easily and simply.


How can you obtain the card?

If you have reserved a room at any one of the places of accommodation that have joined the card system, upon arrival you may choose from the following options (for information on the places of accommodation that have joined the system, select the ACCOMODATIONS menu item):

  • If you spend at least two nights, you will get your Danubeland Card immediately and free of charge. In this case you will only be required to give the data necessary for validating the card. Data management will be done in accordance with the governing law. Detailed information on this can be read in the DATA PROTECTION menu item.
  • If you spend one night, you can purchase the Danubeland 36h Card for only 1,500 HUF. In this case no data are required for the card to be activated.


If you come to the Danubeland area as a hiker and do not intend to stay overnight, the Danubeland 36h Card is available for you either pre-purchased in the webshop of www.visittata.com site or bought in person at the tourist information bureau in Tata (Tourinform Tata).


How can you benefit by the use of the card?

In addition to numerous discounted services, the Danubeland Card discount card system also includes various programmes available for you free of charge. For information on the locations where the card is accepted, select the ADVANTAGES menu item for a purposeful search according to your field(s) of interest.

How do you get the discounts and the free services?

All you have to do is take with you the card and touch it to the reading devices at the locations where it is accepted. The locations will give you the discounts offered by them on the basis of the card data. 


How many persons are entitled to use the card?

  • If you spend at least two nights, the reception at the place of accommodation can register several persons travelling together on the Danubeland Card given to you free of charge. Discounts are available at the locations that accept the card for as many persons as are included in the card data. 
  • If you spend one or zero night, no data will be recorded on the Danubeland 36h Card purchased by you. Thus one card will only be valid for one person; that is, the services of the locations that accept the card will be available for one person only.

How long is the card valid?

  • If you spend at least of two nights, the Danubeland Card given to you free of charge is valid throughout the full length of your stay, from 14:00 hours on the day of checking-in at the place of accommodation till 24:00 hours on the day of departure. 
  • If you spend one or zero night, the Danubeland 36h Card bought by you will be activated when read at the location that you visit first after the purchase, and is valid for 36 hours starting from that point of time.
